This documentation will guide you through every step — from installation to customization — so you can launch your educational website quickly and professionally.

• WordPress Version: 6.0 or higher

1. Installation

Install the theme via the WordPress dashboard or FTP.

1. Navigate to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
2. Upload college-theme.zip and click Install Now.
3. Once installed, click Activate.

If you encounter a “link expired” error, update upload_max_filesize and post_max_size in php.ini.

• Elementor – Visual drag-and-drop page builder.
• Redux Framework – Manages theme options and settings.
• Contact Form 7 – For contact forms.
• College Core – Provides custom widgets and post types.

3. Demo Import

To replicate the demo site:

1. Go to Tools → Import.
2. Install the WordPress Importer plugin.
3. Upload the XML file from the Demo Content folder.
4. Click Upload file and import.

Navigate to Appearance → Theme Options to configure global settings:

• Use caching plugins like WP Super Cache or LiteSpeed.
• Optimize images using Smush or TinyPNG.
• Minify CSS and JS (optional, supported by the theme).
• Enable lazy loading for images and videos.

10. Translation & Localization

• Translation-ready (.pot file included in languages/ folder).

11. Theme Updates

To update the theme safely:

• Backup your site using UpdraftPlus or similar.
